BELTON
Endorsed by:
GOVERNOR GREG ABBOTT
SENATOR TED CRUZ
EDUCATION PRIORITIES
TEACHER PAY

By voting to kill the school choice bill, Rep. Hugh Shine also voted against $4,000 teacher pay raises and $97 million in additional funding for local public schools.

ACCESS

Access to a quality education should be available to all Texas children, not just a select few who can afford it, like Rep. Hugh Shine. But by voting against school choice, Shine blocked access to good schools for Texas students.

FUND CHILDREN

School choice empowers parents to choose the best education option for their children that best meets their needs. But Hugh Shine opposes school choice and would rather fund underperforming public schools than fund kids.

Backed By Liberal Groups Trying To Turn Texas Blue

Did you know that Hugh Shine is endorsed and supported by liberal unions? These unions are the same liberal organizations that are working with George Soros to turn Texas into a blue state.

Supported By Beto (aka Robert Francis)

Ultra Liberal Beto O’Rourke supported Shine’s scheme to radically change how schools are funded in Texas.

Tax and Spend Liberal

Come rain or shine, Hugh Shine is a tax and spend liberal, voting against property tax relief and pushing a $10 billion mileage tax on driving that would cost you more money just to own property and drive your own vehicle.

Denied Local Schools Funding

Hugh Shine killed a plan that would have put over $97 million into our local public schools, along with stopping a $4,000 pay raise for teachers.

Blocked School Choice for Parents

Hugh Shine voted against Gov. Abbott’s plan to give Texas parents the right to select schools, whether public or private, for their children, even though over 88.7% of Republican voters in our district support school choice.
