When Stark County students needed support the most, Thomas West turned his back on them and voted to freeze scholarships for thousands of students, raising costs for families trying to provide for their children. Law enforcement officers put their lives on the line every day to keep Stark County families safe from dangerous and violent criminals. Instead of supporting these heroes, Thomas West pushed for rules that would have handcuffed Canton police and hurt their ability to do their job. In the State Senate, he will not fight for law enforcement to have the resources they need to keep Stark County safe.
