MIKE ROBERTO
❌ PUSHED MASSIVE PROPERTY TAX AFTER MOVING
Mike Roberto is just another cut-and-run politician. While he was Aurora City Schools Superintendent Roberto sold his family home to move out of the district, then tried to push over $130 million in new government spending on Aurora homeowners. Roberto wanted to saddle Aurora homeowners with $1,100 more in taxes per year, even though he wouldn’t have to pay them himself. Working Ohio families can’t afford Mike Roberto’s tax-and-spend agenda in Columbus when they need real property tax relief.
❌ WOULD TAKE SCHOLARSHIPS AWAY FROM STUDENTS
During Mike Roberto’s time at Aurora City Schools, the school board joined a coalition that tried to gut a scholarship program that benefited over 170,000 Ohio students, which could’ve cost those families up to $8,400 in lost scholarships. Even after he left Aurora City Schools, Roberto continued to criticize the program that thousands of parents rely on, especially low-income families and parents of students with disabilities. Ohio parents can’t trust Mike Roberto to fight for them.
