EDUCATION PRIORITIES
VALUES

Parents should be able to put their children in schools that align to their values and beliefs. By voting to kill school choice in Nebraska, Sen. Day would force parents to send their kids to schools that don’t match their family’s values.

ACCESS

Parents should be allowed to choose the best school for their child regardless of where they live to make sure their child can access the educational setting that works for them. Sen. Day voted to prevent Nebraska families in failing schools from having the ability to find better options for their kids.

ACCOUNTABILITY

School choice gives parents accountability over education rather than the government, but Sen. Day voted to protect schools over students.

Jen Half Day

Hard working Nebraskans punch the clock every day to earn a paycheck. Senator Jen Day, however, prefers the paycheck without putting in the work. Day has one of the worst attendance records in the legislature (Source: Nebraskalegislature.gov). She skipped critical votes that would have helped the people of Nebraska, like the vote to pass the largest tax cut in state history, or the vote to exempt Social Security from state income taxes. Nebraskans deserve a Senator who works full time for them – not Jen Half Day.

Day’s Dangerous Agenda

Jen Day has pushed legislation that would have cost Nebraska taxpayers millions of dollars at a time when Nebraska families are struggling to make ends meet because of rampant inflation. Nebraskans need a hardworking Senator who will put taxpayers first, not pet projects.
